Asia Forum Celebration of Olypism

You’re warmly invited to join delegates and participants from all over Asia, the Pacific and across the world in “Celebration of Olympism”. This is a 5-day forum organised by the National Olympic Committee (NOC) Nepal, Youth UNESCO Club, Olympic Truce Peace Campaign, to commemorate the Olympic Day in Nepal, encourage sports and peace, inspire Representatives from different countries to share activities such as sports, cultural Performance, promote tourism of their countries in a cordial manner in the beautiful country of Nepal. The strategies and approaches as utilised and promoted by the Olympic Truce will also be used to create platforms of opportunities for interaction, dialogue and promotion of the Olympic ideals and the essence of the Olympic Truce.

International Day of Sports for Development and Peace

Nepal Olympic Committee-PEACE AND SPORTS COMMISSION organized one day painting Workshop on the auspicious occasion of the International Day of Sports for Development and Peace on 6th April 2014 at Nepal Olympic Building, Satdobato, Lalitpur. Chief Guest Hon'ble Youth and Sports Minister Mr. Purushottam Paudel inaugurated the program. In the closing ceremony, the Certificate was distributed to participants by President of Nepal Olympic Committee Mr. Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan.

Nepal Olympic Committee organized a meeting regarding the 17th Asian Games with NFs' president and Secretary General (Affiliated National Federations) at Nepal Olympic Building at Satdobato, Lalitpur on Thursday 13, 2014 at 12:30 noon. The meeting was chaired by NOC President Mr. Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan.

Women's Role in Implementing the Sports Policy

On 8 March 2014, Women's & Sports Commission of NOC/ Nepal organized one day Workshop program on "Women's Role in Implementing the Sports Policy" on the auspicious occasion of the 104th International Women's day at Nepal Olympic Building, Satdobato with large number of enthusiastic participants of NOC Office bearer, delegates of NFs, Athletes, Coaches and Sports Journalist. The program was inaugurated by President of Nepal Olympic Committee Mr. Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan.

XXII Winter Olympic Games

In the gracious presence of H.E. Eambassador of the embassy of Russian Federation in Nepal and large Number of Sports Journalist, Member of NFs, Nepal Olympic Committee organized press conference in 27 January 2014 on Monday concerning the XXII Winter Olympic Games Sochi, Russia. During the press meet NOC/ Nepal unveiled number of Nepalese delegates as per given bellow. The Sochi Winter Olympic Games will going be held from 7-23 February 2014.

OCA Merit Award 2014

The OCA presented the OCA Merit Award to the following five leaders: President of Nepal Olympic Committee Mr. Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan,Thailand NOC President General Yuthasak Sasiprapha, Nanjing Vice Mayor Liu Yi’an, Bangladesh NOC Secretary General Syed Shahid Reza and POC President Jose Cojuango Jr. during the 32nd OCA General Assembly which was held form 17-18. 2014 in Manila, Philippine.

A Tribute to Nelson Mandela (Madiba)

Kathmandu, 15 December 2013. In the memory of World Legend Late Nelson Mandela, Nepal Olympic Committee organized the condolence program on 15 December, 2013 at the NOC premises. Office bearers of NOC, President of various National Federations, Sport lovers and journalists were presented at the program. Mr. Jeevan Ram Shrestha, Secretary General of Nepal Olympic Committee spoke about the contribution of Mandela on peace building in South Africa and his great role on extension of Olympic Movement.
