Nepal Olympic Committee held a virtual meeting via Zoom on Friday with national sports Associations regarding the proposed sports for the 14th South Asian Games (SAG). The meeting was organized after the host, Pakistan Olympic Committee requested feedback from the South Asian Olympic Council on the proposed events for the competition.
Although we initially aimed to conduct the meeting in person, it resorted to a virtual platform due to ongoing unlawful government interception at its office, where police deployed by the government have barred entry. During the meeting, representatives from various national federations provided detailed feedback on their respective sports disciplines, highlighting necessary additions and adjustments.
Following the discussions, NOC will now forward its recommendations, incorporating the feedback, to the Pakistan Olympic Committee. This will pave the way for advancing preparations for the Games.
