Saudi Arabian Ambassador visit to NOC Building
 
 Nepal Olympic Committee President Honorable Jeevan Ram Shrestha and Ambassador of Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia to Nepal H.E Musaid Almarwany met on Saturday and discussed the claim of hosting the 2030 Asian Games.
 
During the meeting held at the Satdobato Olympic Building, mutual cooperation through sports was also discussed. Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, has proposed a bid for the 2030 Asian Games. Competition is underway between Riyadh and Doha, Qatar, for the Asian Games.
 
Earlier, the Qatari Olympic team had also visited Kathmandu. After the talks, President Shrestha said that the proposals put forward by Saudi Arabia and Qatar were comparatively similar and would be discussed further at the General Assembly of the Asian Olympic Committee in Muscat, Oman.
                            
He said that the interests of Nepali sports and players would be the main basis before the final decision. NOC President Shrestha and General Secretary Nilendra Raj Shrestha will attend the general meeting in Muscat. On that occasion, the Nepali team will hold additional meetings with the Saudi and Qatari Olympic Committees. Vice-President and Executive Director of the Committee Chaturananda Rajvaidya and General Secretary Nilendra Shrestha were also present on the occasion.
