Nutrition Class to Tokyo 2020 Olympic Scholarship Holders and Coaches

A nutrition class was conducted on Friday for the athletes and their coaches who have received scholarships to participate in the Tokyo Olympics 2020 organized by the Nepal Olympic Committee.
Weightlifting coach Mr. Sanjay Maharjan was the Course conductor of the program and he gave various information about nutrition to the players and coaches. Earlier, General Secretary of the Nepal Olympic Committee Mr. Nilendra Raj Shrestha said that information about nutrition was essential in the training of athletes. Vice President and Executive Director Chaturanandaraj Vaidya was also present on the occasion.
The event was attended by 12 players and three coaches. Twelve athletes from seven sports have received Olympic scholarships in the process of representing Nepal in the Tokyo Olympics starting in July 2021. Among the Olympic scholarship recipients are Anu Adhikari and Nabin Rasaili of Karate, Gyanu Awale and Tilak Pun Magar of Archery, Bir Bahadur Mahara of Taekwondo, Sushmita Nepal and Kalpana Pariyar of Shooting, Kamala Shrestha and Sanju Chaudhary of Weightlifting, Gaurika Singh and Alex Shah of Swimming and Indra Bahadur Shrestha of Judo. Gopi Chandra Parki of Athletics, who was not in the scholarship program, also participated in the program. So far, it has been decided that a total of three athletes will participate from Nepal two from swimming and one from Athletics.
