Video Conference about the situation of Athletes

To reduce the contamination of COVID 19 Nepal is in a shut down due to which many lives are affected. The Athletes and coaches have not been able to train together easily.

Nepal Olympic Committee held a conference call with the concerned stakeholders in the initiation of President of NOC /Member of Parliament Honorable Jeevan Ram Shrestha about the improvement of the Mental and Health condition of the Athletes and Coaches during this lockdown.

In this conference meeting there were 30 participants who included the board members of NOC, Doctors, Psychologists, Olympians and Journalists.
President Honorable Shrestha updated about the current status and decisions of IOC and said that NOC will talk to all the associations to monitor the athletes about their training and diet. President also informed about this being the first time in the history that Olympic has been postponed.

Psycholosit Mr. Indra Gurung said that he will provide free online classes to the Athletes and coaches to improve their mental health. Dr. Saroj Krishna Shrestha also requested the athletes that if any information regarding the COVID 19 or any medicines intake is required to contact him directly.

Secretary General of NOC Mr. Nilendra Raj Shrestha said that NOC will request the authorized parties not to keep the athletes in the front line in this epidemic who are associated with army and police.
