Medical Commission of Nepal Olympic Committee organized Continental Sports Medicine Course which is slated to be held from June 18 – 21, 2010 in Hotel Annapurna in Kathmandu, Nepal. Presence of President, Vice-presidents, Secretary General, executive members of Nepal Olympic Committee, Doctor, Physiotherapist, Coaches, athletes and Sports Journalist Hon'ble Minister of Youth and Sport Mr. Ganesh Nepali Tiwari inaugurated the inaugural session on Friday at 8:45 am.
Altogether this course actively participated 58 delegates from the Nepal Olympic Committee's Medical Commission of Nepal, Australia, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Thailand and Sri Lanka along with Nepalese Medical Doctors, Physiotherapist and Coaches.
Altogether twenty eight working paper are going to be presented during the scientific session by foreign experts along with Nepalese experts. This Course will be a milestone in upgrading the standard of health care delivery system to the athletes and to promote them to exhibit better athletic performances. The course will also provide a platform where Nepalese participants will be obtained opportunity to interact intensively with the foreign experts.
