On Wednesday, Kelmi supported the Nepalese team set to participate in the 4th Winter Olympic Youth Games in Gangwon, South Korea. The official handover of the sports uniforms occurred during a well-organized event where Mr. Uttam Neupane, the Managing director of Kamaru Trading – the official seller of Kelmi, presented the sports attire to Jeevan Ram Shrestha, President of the Nepal Olympic Committee and Nepal Ski Association.
This marks Nepal's third entry into the Winter Youth Olympics, with the competition being at the U-19 level. Scheduled from January 19 to February 1, the event will witness the participation of Mr. Chhowang Mingyur Tamang and Ms. Laxmi Rai representing Nepal in the men's and women’s category. Both athletes are geared up to tackle the challenges presented by the slalom and giant slalom events.
Guiding the Nepalese team is coach Saphal Ram Shrestha, with Rama Bhattarai taking on the role of manager. Departing for Gangwon on Thursday, the team will undergo a 15-day special training program as part of the 'Dream Project' initiative before the commencement of the competition.
During the program, President Shrestha expressed gratitude to the sponsors for the sports attire and extended best wishes for Nepal's success in the upcoming competition. The collective effort and support from Kelme and other sponsors underscore the nation's commitment to nurturing and showcasing talent on the international stage.
