Farewell to Participants of 5th South Asian Basketball Championship

A 15 member Basketball Team headed towards Male, Maldives for the 5th South Asian Basketball Championship from 19-23 May. In this tournament 5 countries including Nepal have participated: India, Maldives, Sri-Lanka and Bangladesh. The winner from this Round Robin League will be eligible to participate in FIBA Asia Cup slated to be held on Lebanon in August 2017.

President of Nepal Olympic Committee Jeevan Ram Shrestha wished best wishes to the participants and bade farewell to the team on 16th May 2016.
In the program from Nepal Basketball Association; Secretary General of NOC and President of NBA Mr. Lama Tendi Sherpa, Vice President Hom Dong, Secretary General of NBA Narendra Thapa and Coach of NBA Bikash Shahi was present.
