Nepal Olympic Committee conducted an Executive Board meeting under the aegis of President Jeevan Ram Shrestha in June 2, 2017. Reports of past achievements and agendas were reported by Secretary General Lama Tendi Sherpa.
Decisions made by the Board:
Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC) and Youth and Sports Ministry in their meeting on 31st May, 2017 decided to prioritize 23 sports for upcoming 13th South Asian Games which is going to be held in March, 2019 in Nepal. NOC is going to propose this agenda in the meeting of South Asian Olympic Council in Bhutan, June 6-7, 2017.
Nepal is going to participate in the Asian Indoor Games slated to be held on Ashgabat, Turkmenistan in 2017.
To commemorate the Beginning of Modern Olympics in June 23 Nepal will celebrate the “Olympic Day” for a week from 17 June to 23 June by encouraging all the Sports Associations to conduct their respective programs.
Board decided to send 2 participants to regional anti doping organization and result management training which is going to be held on Thimpu, Bhutan on August 3rd and 4th.
