President of NOC Mr. Jeevan Ram Shrestha, bid farewell to participants of Weight Lifting Association for the Asian Championship slated in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in NOC Building Satdobato, Laltipur. The event, running from February 3rd to 10th, holds Olympic Qualifying status, helping the athletes' in hopes for Paris 2024.
President Shestha gave his best wishes to the participants namely Mr. Sagar Bhandari, Athlete (Olympic Scholarship holder), Mr. Ram Sundar Shrestha as the Manager and Mr. Jeevan Gautam as the Coach.
He commended President of Nepal Weightlifting Association Mr. Ram Krishna Shrestha for the dedication towards the development of Weightlifting in Nepal. He added that this opportunity is well deserved by Mr. Sagar and now should take it wisely.
In the program Vice President of NOC Mr. Chaturananda Rajvaidya and representatives of Nepal Weightlifting Association were also present.
