Mr. Jeevan Ram Shrestha has been elected as the President of the Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC) for the third consecutive term on Saturday.
The election was held solely for the position of President among the 19 members of the NOC Executive Committee. Prior to this, all other EB positions were elected unopposed where seven vice presidents— Ms. Jyoti Rana, Mr. Chaturananda Rajvaidya, Mr. Ashok Ratna Bajracharya, Mr. Gopal Sundar Lal Kakshapati, Mr. Prakash Shamsher Rana, Mr. Dawa Gurung, and Mr. Anil Prasad Sharma.
Similarly, Mr. Rajiv Shrestha was elected as Secretary General, Mr. Tasi Ghale as Treasurer, and Mr. Ramji Bahadur Shrestha as Deputy Secretary General. Mr. Bhim Singh Gurung, Mr. Ram Krishna Shrestha, and Mr. Ramesh Prasad Shiwakoti were elected as Secretaries. Members Mr. Ram Awale, Ms. Geeta Rana, Mr. Lakhpa Tsering Lama, Mr. Jitendra Bahadur Chand, and Mr. Manish Joshi were also elected.
