The inauguration of the Earthquake Memorial Multi-Purpose Covered Hall in Dallu Awas, Kathmandu, marks a significant milestone for sports and community development in the area. The hall was officially opened by Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC) President Mr. Jeevan Ram Shrestha during a program organized jointly by the NOC and the Dallu Aawash Sthaniya Sahayog Sammittee.
The project, which received financial assistance from the International Olympic Committee (IOC), cost Rs. 4.5 Crore. The facility is equipped to host indoor games such as volleyball, badminton, and table tennis, providing a valuable venue for local sports activities.
In his remarks, President Shrestha emphasized the hall's importance for development of local talent and enhancing sports infrastructure in the community. He highlighted that such facilities are crucial for the development of sports and player production in Nepal, calling the project a "great achievement" for Nepali sports.
