Awareness Program about Coronavirus (COVID-19) to Nepalese Athletes

Nepal Olympic Committee organized an Awareness Program on Corona virus (COVID-19) where expert doctors explained about the Corona Virus and prevention measures.
The program was inaugurated by President of NOC/ Member of Parliament Honorable Jeevan Ram Shrestha where main speakers were Dr. Baburam Marashini, Former director of the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division, Department of health Services on the Corona virus, Nepal and its ability to tackle it and Dr. Saroj Krishna Shrestha, Chairperson of Medical Commission of NOC.
22 Participants which includes the wild card applicants from Nepal for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics were present.
As Coronavirus is directly affecting the Athletes for their trainings, this program was organized to bust some myths about the COVID-19 and make the athletes and coaches aware about different prevention measures of this virus.
President Shrestha said that NOC have made a Doctor’s Panel to help the Athletes as unknown medicines may cause Doping. If any problem arises then they will be available at all times to assist the athletes and give them proper treatment.
