President of South Asian Olympic Council / President of NOC/Member of Parliament Honorable Jeevan Ram Shrestha along with Representative of Nepal Government, Ministry of Youths and Sports, Secretary Mr.Krishna Prasad Devkota & Representative of National Sports Council , Vice President Mr. Pitamber Timsina announced that South Asian Games will be held in Nepal on 1st December, 2019.
According to the SOAC meeting held on Bangkok, Thailand on 1st March, 2019 with representatives of other SAARC Countries where President Shrestha, Treasurer of NOC Mr. Ratan Tandon, Member Mr. Tej Bahadur Gurung, Executive Secretary Mr. Sujan Lal Shrestha and Vice President of NSC Mr. Timalsina attended the decision was made.
Honorable President Shrestha said that we are determined about the South Asain Games and he urged all the stakeholders including the media to be positive and help to organize the event.
Secretary Mr. Devkota also said that Nepal Government is in total support of the event and are serious about building the required infrastructure.
