Nepal successfully concluded its participation at the 3rd Asian Youth Games held in Isa Sports City, Bahrain, showcasing the talent and determination of its young athletes across multiple sports disciplines.
Nepal’s Golf athlete Rebuen Thapa proudly carried the national flag during the Opening Ceremony. In the competition, Thapa displayed commendable skill and perseverance, finishing 37th overall in the Golf event.
In eSports (eFootball), Kavya Raj Acharya represented Nepal, delivering a spirited performance in the group stage. Despite showing strong gameplay, Nepal’s eSports team could not progress to the knockout rounds, finishing their campaign with the following results:

In Muay Thai, athletes Genji Rai and Palishtha Kakshapti both fought valiantly but were eliminated in the first round of their respective categories.
From the Swimming events, Ms. Aarya Maharjan participated in the 50m Freestyle (Women), securing 5th position in her heats and finishing 36th overall out of 47 competitors. Similarly, Mr. Atharva Singh competed in the 400m Freestyle (Men), placing 5th in his heats and 29th overall out of 31 participants.
In Badminton, Subin Shrestha represented Nepal in the Boys’ Singles category but was defeated by Joe Fardhan of Indonesia in the Round of 32. Shrestha lost in straight sets, 7–21 and 6–21, marking the end of his campaign.
In Judo, Nepal’s Samita Nepali competed in the –44kg category, where she faced Tselmuun Ganchimeg of Mongolia in the Round of 16. Samita put up a strong fight but was defeated by Ippon in 1 minute and 19 seconds.
While Nepal did not secure any medals at the Games, the young athletes demonstrated commendable effort, discipline, and sportsmanship, gaining valuable international exposure at one of Asia’s premier youth sporting events.
