Start of 3 weeks long Olympic Day 2023 with a Cycle rally

The 21-day 'Olympic Day' program has started from Saturday on the occasion of 'World Bicycle Day'. On the program, a cycle rally was organized from Basantpur to Satdobato. A total of 115 cyclists participated in the program organized by the Nepal Cycling Association. 20 of them are women and 95 men. President of Nepal Olympic Committee Jeevan Ram Shrestha inaugurated the rally during a special program organized in Basantpur.

 The rally came from Basantpur through Tripureshwar, Jawalakhel and ended at the committee's Satdobato NOC building. Olympic Day will be celebrated around the world on June 23 and the main event will be held on that day. Before that, there will be various programs for three weeks. According to Mr. Bishnu Gopal Shrestha, Chairman of Sports of All Commission under NOC, 6000 events will be organized on the occasion of Olympic Day this time and more than 300,000 people will participate in it. Various programs have been organized on the occasion of Olympic Day in Nepal for more than two decades.

In the program Vice President of NOC and Executive Director of NOC Mr. Chaturananda Rajbaidhya, Vice President of NOC Ms. Jyoti Rana and Member of NOC Mr. Gopal Kakshapati were present.
