The Nepal Olympic Committee welcomed the Acting Member Secretary of the National Sports Council, Mr. Kul Bahadur Thapa. At the meeting held at Satdobato, the President of Nepal Olympic Commiitee, Hon'ble Jeevan Ram Shrestha, wished success to the Acting Member Secretary and stressed on the need for cooperation between the NOC and the NSC, the two main bodies of Nepali sports.
Acting Member Secretary Mr. Thapa said that it has been decided to start preparations for the national team with his appointment. Nepal Olympic Committee EB members were also present on the occasion. After that, the representatives of NOC including Hon'ble President Jeevan Ram Shrestha and the Acting Member Secretary Mr. Thapa from NSC had a preliminary discussion on Nepal's participation in the Children's Game of Asia International and the 19th Asian Games. The competition will be held in Hangzhou, China from September 10 to 25.
NOC Vice President and Executive Director Mr. Chaturanandaraj Vaidya, Secretary Mr. Ramji Bahadur Shrestha and member Ramesh Siwakoti also participated in the discussion. There were a discussion about determining the number of games and players to participate in the competition. Similarly, there were detailed discussion on the game that Nepal should participate in, its potential and the need for high performance. Other international competitions in which Nepal will participate were also discussed on the occasion.
