NOC president inaugurated the Nepalgunj Peace Marathon

President of NOC Mr. Jeevan Ram Shrestha inaugurated the 2nd Nepalgunj Peace Marathon 2016 on Sunday. The marathon was organized as a decade-long armed conflict has formally ended and so for the peace campaign every year in November the marathon will take place.
Mr. Krishna Basnet from the Army won in the 42 Km full Marathon with 2hr 26min timing. Olympian Ms. Kanchi Maya Konju from Armed Police force won the 22km half Marathon with 1hr 23min timining.
Treasurer of NOC Mr. Ratan Tandon was also present in the program.
