President of Nepal Olympic Committee Mr. Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan felicitated Mr. Chhim urkyen Gurung, Treasurer of Nepal Olympic Committee as well as president of Nepal Cycling Association on his successful Mount Everest cleaning expedition. On the auspicious occasion of felicitation program Secretary General Mr. Jeevan Ram Shrestha and executive members of NOC Nepal were also present. The program organized by Nepal Olympic Committee at Satdobato, Lalitpur. He reached at the highest peak in the World, Mt. Everest (8848 m.) on 21st May, 2011 at 5:50 am (NST). Mr. Gurung had commenced his expedition on 19th April, 2011. Along with him seven mountaineers of his Expedition also successfully conquer the summit. He is the first Executive Member of Nepal Olympic Committee to scale the world's highest summit. In his expedition, his team collected 150 kg of scattered garbage from the Mt. Everest.
