Judo Program for 1st day of Olympic day celebration

On the occasion of 1st day of the series of Olympic day celebrations, Nepal Judo Association and Sports for all Commission together organized different Judo competition. The program was inaugurated by Secretary General of NOC Lama Tendi Sherpa.
In all Nepal senior Judo competition Sarita Chaudhary of Nepal Police club and Manita Shrestha Pradhan of Bandi Sahayata Griha(PAM) have won the gold medals.
In the finals of weight category below 48 Kg Sarita Chaudhary defeated Manisha Maharjan held in Satdobato International Sports Council. Manita Shrestha who is the bronze medalist of 12th south Asian games defeted Devika Khadka of APF club in women under 48 Kg category.
For under 60 Kg, under 81Kg and under 90Kg category for male athletes Umesh Magar, Santosh Sunuwar and SriRam Makaju secured the first place respectively.
In the finals Umesh Magar defeated Surendra Dong, Santosh defeated Raj Bahadur from Nepal Police and SriRam defeated Ramesh Bahadur Chandra from Nepal Army.
The medals were distributed by the president of Sports for all Commision Mr. Bishnu Gopal Shrestha and President of Judo Associtaion Mr. Deepak Harsha Bajracharya to the winners of the competition.
On the two day competition, 54 male participants and 38 female participants will compete for 5 and 4 gold medals respectively.
