5th Board Meeting

Nepal Olympic Committee conducted a Board meeting under President Jeevan Ram Shrestha. In the meeting, Secretary General Lama Tendi Sherpa reported the past achievements. There were discussions about different agendas and also about the 13th South Asian Games.

 
The board decided on the following:

  • NOC has decided to give fifty thousand rupees to Sports Journalist Forum to conduct games annually in the memory of late Sports Journalist Suman Bomjom who died in the recent Earthquake. 

  • NOC will organize 1 day Good governance workshop within 3 months for sports Association and Managers. 

  • NOC Executive Member Tej Bahadur Gurung will attend the Chef de Mission Seminar for 8th Asian Winter Asian Games, which will be held in Sapporo, Japan from 25.04.2016 - 26.04.2016. 

  • Secretary General Lama Tendi Sherpa and executive member Mr. Nilendra Shrestha will attend the OCA Regional forum meeting, which will be held in Bangkok, Thailand from 16.05.2016 – 17.05.2016. 

  • NOC has also decided to give one hundred fifty thousand rupees to Archery Association to conduct annual games in the memory of Late Mr. Laxman Shrestha (ex-member of NOC and President of Archery Association)
  • Nepal Olmpic Board decided that experts will be responsible for drafting of the bylaw for NOC.
