Nepal Ski Association has organized 1st National Ski Championship in Canjing Valley, Rasuwa on 27-29 January, 2016. The championship was about male and female alpine event . Mr. Sahas Ram Shrestha has secured 1st position in male and similarly Ms. Funchu Lama has secured 1st position in female event. The chief guest of the program, honorable Minister of Culture , Tourism and Civil aviation, Mr. Ananda Prasad Pokharel distributed medals and certificates to the winners. Nepal Olympic Committee President as well as the President of Nepal Ski Association, Mr. Jeevan Ram Shrestha has delivered the welcome speech and he said that NSA has planned to develop Kanjing Valley for skiing place and establish ski academy. At the program Honorable parliament member Mr. Janardan Dhungel, Member Secretary of national sports council Mr. Keshav Kumar Bista , Vice Precident of NSA Mr. Raju Babu Shrestha, Treasurer Mr. Jeetendra Shrestha, Secretary Mr. Bijaya Shrestha, Members Mr. Madhav Aryal and Mr. Arjun Maharjan were also participated in the program. Altogehter there was 14th Athletes participated in the programe.
