The 17th Executive Board meeting of the Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC) took place on December 12, 2023 chaired by the President of NOC, Mr. Jeevan Ram Shrestha.
Mr. Chaturananda Raj Vaidya, the Vice President and Executive Director, presented comprehensive reports on the recently concluded 19th Asian Games, 2023. Additionally, Mr. Vaidya provided updates on the development of Earthquake Memorial Hall.
Executive Secretary Mr. Sujan Lal Shrestha shared details regarding the ongoing preparations for the much-anticipated Paris Olympics 2024.
President Mr. Jeevan Ram Shrestha, shared plans for the preparation of the 4th Youth Winter Olympic Games 2024.
Some decisions made during the meeting were the scheduling of the Annual General Assembly of NOC on December 30, 2023. NOC announced that the prestigious NOC Award 2023 is slated to take place on June 23, 2024 and the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace at Lumbini on April 6, 2023.
Concluding the meeting, Dr. Nabees Man Singh Pradhan was appointed as the Chairperson of the Medical Commission of NOC.
