NOC had requested for the participation of Ms. Nisha Rawal in Taekwondo for the upcoming Olympic Games through wildcard. She is a scholarship holder of Nepal Olympic Committee from Jan 2015.
Today, the request of the ANOC was granted by the International Olympic Committee’s Tripartite Commission. Likewise besides Athletics and Swimming’s Universality places (UPs), there are 6 more sports namely Taekwondo, Judo, Archery, Boxing, Badminton and Shooting whose spots were also requested through wildcard for the Rio Olympics. The results are yet to be made in these cases.
Ms. Rawal will be participating in the Taekwondo’s 73+ weight category representing Nepal in the Rio Olympic slated to be held in Brazil, Aug 5 to Aug 31, 2016.
