Ms. Sushmita Tamang from Wushu departure to China for martial arts training, inspection, and exchange activities.

Secretary General of NOC Mr.Rajiv Shrestha bade farewell to Sushmita Tamang during a farewell program organized by the Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC) ahead of her departure to China for martial arts training, inspection, and exchange activities.

 

During the program, Mr. Shrestha congratulated Ms. Tamang on receiving the international opportunity and expressed his confidence that the experience would further enhance her skills and contribute to the growth and promotion of Wushu in Nepal. He emphasized the importance of international exposure in the development of athlete for the upcoming Aichi Nagoya Asian Games 2026.

 

Mr. Shrestha praised the activities of Nepal Wushu Federation and also highlighted the Nepal Olympic Committee’s commitment to supporting deserving athletes through scholarship and development programs. Ms. Tamang is an NOC scholarship holder representing Wushu.

 

Ms. Tamang has been invited by Zhangjiakou Longhui Kungfu Sports Development Limited Company for martial arts exchange activities in China from July 5, 2026 to September 15, 2026, around 3 months.

 

Officials and members of the Wushu community were present during the farewell program held at the Olympic Building.

 

President of Nepal Wushu Federation Mr. Bir Bahadur Tamang, Secretary General of NWF as well as Member of NOC Mr. Lakhpa Lama, Senior Vice President Dadhiram Sitaula and Member Nikesh Shrestha were present in the program.
