11th Cross Country Championship On November 9, 2009 at the 18th. Asian Athletics Congress held at the Phoenix City Hotel in Guangzhou, China - The AAA Council a day before unanimously decided to support the candidature of Nepal to host 11th. Asian Cross Country Championships. The Championships which was approved by the Congress today. Nepal hosted The Asian Cross Country Championships in 2001 at the Gokarna Forest Resort which was received by the Asian Countries as a huge success. And now to host the 11th. Asian Cross Country Championships in conjunction with Nepal Tourism Year should be a great opportunity for Nepal and Mr. Rabi Rajkarnikar Executive Member of Nepal Olympic Committee and Secretary General of Nepal Amateur Athletics Association elected post of 8 AAA Individual Council Member by achieving highest votes amongst 38 countries with 34 Votes. The Congress also endorsed Japan’s bid to host the 19th. Asian Athletics Championships in 2011 in Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture in Japan. |
