The President of Nepal Olympic Committee Mr. Jeevan Ram Shrestha along with Secretary General of NOC Mr. Nilendra Raj Shrestha bid farewell to the record breaking mountaineer Ms. Funju Lama by wishing her success as she is going to climb the highest peak of the world Mt. Everest.
Ms. Phunjo who is also the Executive Member of Nepal Ski Association (NSA) is the world record holder as the fastest women to climb Mt. Everest and she is aiming to break her own record.
On that occasion the flag of NSA and the flag of 100 years of FIS was handed over to Ms. Lama.
President Shrestha gave his best wishes to climber and said that this is a proud moment for NSA and Ms. Lama is an inspiration to women all around the world.
In the program president of Nepal Rafting and Canoeing Association Mr. Rajiv Shrestha, President of Nepal Weightlifting Association Mr. Ram Krishna Shrestha representatives of Nepal Ski Association were present.
