The President of the Nepal Olympic Committee, Mr. Jeevan Ram Shrestha, participated in the Olympic Council of Asia’s (OCA) Coordination Committee meeting held on 15th October, 2024 at the Hyatt Regency in Tashkent, ahead of the 2025 Asian Youth Games (AYG).
The meeting, chaired by Mohammad Tayyab Ikram, Chair of the OCA Coordination Committee for AYG 2025, discussed preparations for the upcoming games. Tayyab expressed enthusiasm for the event, describing it as "a stepping stone" to build a sustainable legacy for the region.
President Shrestha joined other leaders in recognizing the efforts of Uzbekistan’s government, sports ministry, and National Olympic Committee. He acknowledged the significance of the Asian Youth Games not only as a premier sporting event but also as a catalyst for regional sports development.
