To commemorate the birth of Modern Olympic Movement Sports for all Commission (SFAC) of Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC) marked the opening of the 9 days long celebrations today on the occasion of the Olympic Day. NOC President/Member of Parliament Honorable Jeevan Ram Shrestha was the Chief Guest of the program as he hoisted the Nepal’s flag and Chairperson of SFAC Mr. Bishnu Gopal Shrestha hoisted the flag of International Olympic Committee at the beginning of the program.

There was a Performance of Zumba from Nango Khutta. NOC President Honorable Shrestha encouraged these different types of programs in Olympic Day and said that Olympic Day should be celebrated by everyone.

NOC President Honorable Shrestha inaugurated the Cycle rally from NOC Building to St.Xavier’s Godavari organized by Laxmi Cycle Center with more than 250 participants by cutting the ribbon.

There are total of 116 programs in the 9 days long celebration in which there were 14 programs on the opening day June 15.
In the Opening program Vice president of NOC Mrs. Jyoti Rana, Members Mr. Ashok Bajracharya, Mr. Nilendra Shrestha and Mr. Deepak Harsha Bajracharya were also present.
