A meeting was held at the Ministry of Youth & Sports between Secretary General of Nepal Olympic Committe Mr. Nilendra Raj Shrestha, Secreatarty of Ministry Mr. Ram Thapalia and the Counselor of the Embassy of Japan Mr. Yuzo Yoshioka and the first Secretary of Embassy of Japan Mr. Yuriko Akiyama.
The Counselor Mr. Yuzo updated about the situation and confirmed that Japan is ready to host the 2020 Olympics as scheduled. Mr. Yuzo assured that Japanese Government is doing its best to ensure the health security of the participants. He inquired about the position of Nepal in Participation for the upcoming Tokyo Olympic 2020.
Secretary General of NOC Mr. Shrestha ensured the participation of Nepalese Delegates to the Tokyo Olympic and showed concern about the developing situation with the corona virus and enquired about the security measures to be taken from the Japanese side.
