President of Nepal Olympic Committee Mr. Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan farewell Athlete Dinesh Apher Surkhet, Kamana Bista Jajarkot and Coach Padma Chaudhari Dang Ram Bahadur Oli Surkeht for the Asian Athletic Youth Development Project 2014. The Training Camp will be held from 1st – 14 September 2014 in Aspire Academy, Doha, Qatar. The project was provided by Olympic Council of Asia in initiation of NOC/Nepal.
2nd Youth Olympic Games 2014 will be held on 16- 27 August 2014 in Nanjing-china. In this event Nepal Olympic Committee had send their four Association athletes to International qualifying round which they had provided to Universality Places by IOC tripartite Commission. Boxing-Mr. Shushant Manandhar, Badminton- Mr. Dipesh Dhami, Archery - Ms. Rashmi Darlami, Athletics - Ms. Sangita Khadka respectively, but due to Minimum Qualification Criteria Meet Mr.Shushant Manandhar and Ms. Rashmi Darlmai had disqualified from 2nd Youth Olympic Games 2014.
Mr. Dipesh Dhami (Men-Single Badminton), and Ms. Sangita Khadka (3,000 Mt Athletics) going to participate in 2nd Youth Olympic Games 2014 and in official Athletics Mr. RadhaKrishna Bista is participate and Mrs. Jyoti Rana EB members of NOC/Nepal participate as a Chef De Mission.
The 7th Annual General Assembly of Nepal Olympic Committee has been successfully held on 25 July, 2014 at Nepal Olympic Building, Satdobato, Lalitpur.
The GA has been inaugurated by the first international athlete Mr. Jit Bahadur K.C. by lighting the Panas (Traditional oil lamp). Mr. K.C. wished for the success of the 7th GA of NOC Nepal. The program was followed by the National Anthem and the President of Nepal Olympic Committee; Mr. Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan welcomed all the GA Members of NOC Nepal, Distinguished Guests (Olympian) and stake holders of NOC Nepal.

Nepal Olympic Committee conducted and Youth's UNESCO Club jointly conducted 5 days conference collaboration with the Olympic Truce Peace Campaign Network held from 16-20 July 2014 at Nepal Olympic Building Satdobato, Lalitpur with the representative of different countries with the main theme " celebration of Olympism"
Seasonal workshops are also scheduled to be facilitated by a team of international facilitators from New Zealand, Netherlands and Jordan. These sessions will train, coach and inspire all participants of this forum in strategies and approaches which they can implement after the forum in their respective communities to promote peaceful coexistence. Furthermore, strategies and approaches as utilized and promoted by the Olympic Truce will be taught to further enhance peaceful coexistence as well as showcase how these approaches can be used to create platforms for increasing youth involvement, social enterprise and responsible citizenship.
The Olympic Truce Peace Campaign promotes sustainable Peace and development in different countries using sports, education, tourism, culture exchange and several other community activities, while ensuring there is true process of Truce leading to the Olympic Games in 2016 and beyond. In continuation towards the development of Boxing, Nepal Olympic Committee has rewarded to Nepal Boxing Association to conduct the Olympic Solidarity Technical course for coaches (AIBA One Star coaches course) in Boxing.
The Course was stared on 09 May 2014 and concluded on 13 June 2014. Altogether 22 enthusiastic coaches from various part of country have participated in the courses. The course was conducted by the three stars AIBA Instructor Mr. Indrasena RUBASINGHE KANKANAMGE (SRI)
During the inauguration of the program, President of Nepal Olympic Committee emphasis the importance of the course towards the Development of Boxing in the country. IOC Diploma has been distributed by the NOC President Mr. Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan to all the participants.
As per the program in 2014 June 13, the practical and theory examination have been given by all the participants that have been already dispatched to the AIBA for the final result. The President of Nepal Boxing Association Mr. Rajiv Shrestha said that we are looking forward for the continue cooperation and support from NOC and AIBA for the bright future of boxing in Nepal.
FINA Swimming Coaches Clinic was organized by Nepal Swimming Association on the aegis of Nepal Olympic Committee at Nepal Olympic Building Satdaobato, Lalitpur from 8th-13th June 2014. The clinic was inaugurated by NOC Secretary General Mr. Jeevan Ram Shrestha. There were 40 participants from the different Club and school. Mr. Tapan Kumar Panigrahi from India was nominated from FINA As the lecture for the clinic.
